The nation' leading caregiver directory, providing needed training, critical information, physical help and problem resolution for your difficult and stressful, emotional trials.

About Family Caregivers Directory

After much study and research, the principals of Caregivers Journal came to the conclusion that the best way family caregivers will read up on what they need to know (both for the patient as well as for themselves) is to put needed and timely information into their hands.  It was felt that family caregivers do not have the time or enough knowledge to search it out.  It was determined that the first step was to expertly develop conduits through which needed information could be communicated. Therefore a concerned, consortium team of authors, physicians and medical industry executives determined to band together to get information to family caregivers. They decided to produce directories enabling hospitals, clinics, medical professionals, and support groups to put a referral in the hands of caregivers at the time of discharge from hospitals, from medical clinics and visits to all other entities supporting family caregivers. Later the Family Caregivers Network was formed to more thoroughly communicate with family caregivers.

Continuing Objectives of the Caregivers Journal and Family Caregivers Directory tools:

  1. Increase training, information and physical assistance of family caregivers

  2. Help solve the emotional and physical problems of family caregivers

  3. Provide a communication vehicle for medical industry to family caregivers

  4. Improve the care of home-bound patients by increasing caregiver competence

  5. Significantly reduce the re-admissions currently experienced by hospitals
